I was reading 2nd Timothy today and this really jumped out at me…
“For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” 2 Tim 1:6-7
the commentary on this says… This strong expression suggest that Timothy was being less forceful than he should have been in using the spiritual gift God had given him….also this was to exhort Timothy to be more open in using his gifts which was hindered by his natural timidly.
I thought it was applicable to me too.
