So Christmas week was hectic…

Work, My dad went crazy, more work and more work. I had a lovely christmas though, I got to see Lauren and her family and my family as well. I got everything I asked for (film scanner and film) and am very excited about scanning some of my film at hi-resolution *considering Walgreens does a CRAPPY job*. So right now I am selling a lens on eBay and buying a few. I just put the auction up, it started at $75 and within 20 minutes it is up to $127, so hopefully I will get about $250+ for it, at least that way one of my new lens’ will be virtually free.

I have the next 2 days off which will be fun and then a super duper new years party which I’m sure will be full of fire and fun.

I’m rather nervous about starting school… just like doing work again and getting back into the swing of things, but I am rather fond of being with lauren all the time. I need to start packing.

So Noelle stumbled upon some free sneak preview tickets for Sweeney Todd. So tonight noelle mark kate fil lo and i went go see it. First of all I must say that it is now my favorite musical (overthrowing the music man). It was extremely bloody and gory. I did find 4 continuity errors in it, but that isn’t too bad for a 2+ hour movie. But before the movie started the guy from 102.3 was promoting crap and handing out cds… so this white/filipino\mexican wigger kid behind me was like “you got lil wayne, i need the carter 3″ “lil wayne” “carter 2″ and he wouldn’t shut up… I had no idea how he would be able to sit through a 2 hour musical. So once the movie starts noelle looks at me and is like “i wonder if all of these people know its a musical,” which made sense due to the chongatastic and african viewers that filled the theater…. So about 2 minutes into the movie the singing begins and so does the groaning from the movie goers expecting to see “Barber Shop 3.” About 30 minutes in 7 people behind us leave. About 15 minutes after that.. mr lil wayne behind me decides to creek his chair back and forth blatantly to annoy the movie goers with brains. So after 2 minutes of him, i turned around and mouthed “chill out” and gave him that ‘wtf’ look. He ceased. About 5 minutes after that him and his chongatastic crew left. 2 minutes later the gore ensued. It was amazing. Throats sliced here and throats sliced there. Should I dare ask if anything is sexier than johnny depp covered in another mans blood? most likely not.

Overall the movie gets about a 8.3/10.
-Sacha Baron Cohen has a great character.
-The ending could have been better.
-There probably wasn’t enough blood to make it bloodier, but that would have been pretty sweet.
-That ‘creepy chick,’ (you know who i’m talking about) does a very good job.
-One of the subplots is left without closure.
-You should see this movie.

So today I had a day off of work. Last night Lo and I went to church and then Benihana and then today I slept in and went for a walk at the beach. Yes, very random for me, but it was nice.

I’m hungry.

So we went to the free screening of Juno tonight and it was quite possibly the best movie to come out this year *at least top 3*. I really enjoyed the humorous and quick-witted protagonist, Juno. And a cameo from Rainn Wilson always brings a smile to my face. Michael Cera was awkwardly amazing as usual and the uber lo-fi indie soundtrack made me feel like I was in an American Apparel store, but also brought a smile to my face.

If you like to laugh you should see this movie.

So I am working 55 hours this week. 21 are already behind me and wednesday is my only day off. I may die, but 15 hours of overtime will be worth it.
